Job Description:
Our client’s dedicated public sector assurance team in East Anglia operates across the entire region from bases in Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, and London, servicing clients in those locations as well as Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Sussex, and Surrey.
Their public sector clients include a wide range of NHS, local, and central government organizations, including police and fire services. These clients vary in size from £50 million to £2.2 billion gross expenditure per annum and in technical complexity.
You will be a key member of a vital team within the firm. Your primary responsibility will be managing a portfolio of clients, providing assistance to Partners in client work, and supporting the management of the group and occasionally the wider firm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a major point of contact within the firm for clients alongside the Partner.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients at senior levels, developing a deep understanding of their businesses.
* Identify business and sales opportunities with new clients and inform the Partner accordingly.
* Represent the firm at marketing events and stay informed about the firm's services.
* Participate in recruiting, developing, and motivating employees, including graduate recruitment and performance appraisals.
* Complete assignments within budgets and deadlines, seeking opportunities for additional billings.
Candidate Profile:
* ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified or equivalent internationally.
* Experience managing teams.
* Strong knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting standards.
* Familiarity with financial products, regulatory issues, and compliance, including anti-money laundering.
* Experience with systems/controls testing, substantive audits, consolidations, group audits, statutory accounts, and disclosures.
* Project management experience.
