Year 3/4 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing from May 2026 This Year 3/4 Teacher role offers the opportunity to join a supportive primary school setting where consistency, clear routines, and high expectations underpin teaching and learning. The Year 3/4 Teacher will deliver engaging lessons across lower Key Stage 2, supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development in a calm and collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher seeking a long‑term, ongoing role. Duties as Year 3/4 Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging lessons for a mixed Year 3/4 class in line with the national curriculum Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and behaviour Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs Differentiate lessons to support pupils with a range of abilities Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and consistency Maintain clear classroom routines and high expectations for behaviour Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development Provide constructive feedback to pupils to support progress and confidence Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times Ideal Year 3/4 Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally with mixed‑year classes Strong classroom management and organisational skills Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities Flexible, reliable, and committed teaching approach Willingness to commit to a long‑term temporary and ongoing role Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Stand Out with Step Teachers At Step Teachers, we’re proud to be the only education recruitment agency in Norfolk offering Step On training, part of the County’s respected Norfolk Steps behaviour management programme to all teachers and support staff who register with us.
