Here at Caythorpe and Ancaster Medical Practice we have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join our team. The duties of a Receptionist include- receiving, assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare in a professional, courteous, efficient and effective way. Providing general assistance to the Practice team and projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high quality, professional reception service to patients, doctors, staff, colleagues, health service professionals and others. To act as the first point of contact for patients contacting the Practice and to portray the Practice in the highest possible professional manner. To ensure that enquiries from patients are efficiently and courteously handled.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have excellent customer care skills and compassion for others
* Be able to deal with anxious and demanding patients
* Possess excellent IT skills and a willingness to learn
* Demonstrate flexibility in hours to support the team
* Be capable of prioritising tasks and remaining calm under pressure
* Work to a high professional standard and avoid mistakes
* Have excellent communication skills to liaise with patients and colleagues
Previous experience within Primary Care is an advantage, but not essential as training will be given.
25 hours a week plus cover when required
