ABOUT THE JOB:
The Dispatcher will manage all aspects of the logistical schedule and office responsibilities for their assigned territory, including supervising personnel. They will determine the most cost-effective and efficient transportation means (in-house or vendor partners) for delivery, return, installation, service, removal, or relocation of units. This role impacts key performance metrics such as on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, office management, and team planning. The Dispatcher must adhere to WS safety policies and relevant laws and regulations, maintain high service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries, and embody WS Core Values of Collaboration, Empowerment, Excellence, and Innovation.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Environment, Health & Safety
* Ensure compliance with all Environmental Health & Safety Policies.
* Conduct safety meetings and update safety documents and logs.
* Manage employee health and safety through creating a safe workplace, training, observations, and scheduled assessments.
* Ensure operating standards are met through training and communication.
* Supervisory Responsibilities
* Manage tasks and daily duties for team members, including drivers, field service techs, setup crews, transportation coordinators, and branch coordinators.
* Oversee temporary workers and contractors as needed.
* Own DOT compliance within the assigned territory.
Fleet & Resource Management
* Prioritize daily/weekly/monthly tasks for the team.
* Schedule and assign drivers for on-time pickups and deliveries, supporting profit margins.
* Coordinate services and maintenance for customer rentals.
* Develop dispatch plans based on upcoming deliveries and pickups.
* Manage digital tracking and communication with customers, employees, and vendors.
* Ensure proper documentation and signatures are collected during deliveries and pickups.
* Monitor and document vehicle inspections and maintenance.
* Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely.
* Assist with scheduling outside of current dispatch plans when necessary.
* Coordinate with drivers and customers to resolve scheduling issues.
* Handle administrative procedures such as payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and purchase orders.
* Manage performance discussions and training.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
* At least 2 years of work experience.
* Experience managing employees or prior experience with WillScot.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications.
* Experience in customer service via phone and email.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Requirements
* 3+ years of logistics experience.
* Experience with scheduling, route planning, and CRM systems.
* Knowledge of DOT compliance and vehicle telematics.
* Experience negotiating with vendors.

Salary Range: $71,200.00-$99,700.00
Compensation is based on various factors including experience, certifications, and performance incentives.
