CE&I Safety Systems Design Engineer
Altrad are currently looking for a CE&I Safety System Design Engineer to join the CE&I design team. The role will focus on delivering, supporting and checking CE&I Safety System design packages that meet safety, functional and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver CE&I safety system design packages in line with safety, functional and business requirements.
* Support other engineers in the delivery of safety system design activities.
* Undertake independent checking and verification of CE&I safety system designs.
* Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, legislation and company procedures.
* Produce and review safety system design documentation from concept design through to handover.
* Interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure integrated and coordinated design solutions.
* Provide CE&I engineering support to commissioning activities as required.
* Apply design assurance principles to ensure quality and compliance of safety system designs.
* Support continuous improvement of safety system design practices and standards.
* Provide technical guidance and support to early career engineers.
Qualifications
* Academic qualification to a minimum of HNC level in a relevant CE&I, Electrical or Engineering discipline.
* Incorporated Engineer status (or working towards).
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering CE&I safety system design roles on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
* Proven experience delivering safety system designs from concept through to handover.
* Working knowledge of applicable engineering standards relevant to CE&I safety systems.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to engineers and other disciplines.
* Experience providing engineering support to commissioning activities.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering CE&I safety system design roles on multidisciplinary engineering projects is desirable.
