Overview
Clifton College Sports Centre runs an external Saturday Morning Swim School and we are looking for a cover teacher to join us to support the permanent team on an ad hoc basis. The Swim Teacher will be responsible for creating a positive and enjoyable learning environment to motivate and encourage swimmers. Following the Swim England stage criteria, the teacher is tasked with delivering well-planned lessons, assessing swimmers' abilities, and providing regular, accurate feedback with clear technical instructions. The teacher must work towards class promotions and badges, ensuring lessons are appropriately tailored to the swimmers' levels. Additional work in school holidays may also be available on an ad hoc basis.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Experience or qualification as a Swim Teacher.
* Ability to deliver well-planned lessons and assess swimmers abilities in line with Swim England stage criteria.
* Ability to provide regular, accurate feedback with clear technical instructions.
* Willingness to work towards class promotions and badges and tailor lessons to swimmers' levels.
* DBS check and safeguarding requirements as outlined by Clifton College policies.
* Eligibility for the role (age at least 18 for all roles; 16+ for lifeguard positions with relevant qualifications).
