Management Accountant (12-Month Contract)
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home)
Salary: Up to 55,000 + benefits
We're partnering with a leading professional services firm to recruit a confident and capable Management Accountant for a 12-month contract. This role supports senior stakeholders with accurate reporting, group consolidation, and ongoing improvements across systems and processes in a multi-entity environment. The ideal candidate will either be immediately available or on 1 months notice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts and support group consolidation
* Lead month-end close, including journals, accruals, and variance analysis
* Deliver insightful reporting to support strategic decisions
* Produce balance sheet reconciliations and assist with statutory reporting
* Partner with budget holders to improve financial performance
* Drive process improvements and maintain strong internal controls
About You:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with 3+ years' experience
* Strong background in management accounting and financial analysis
* Advanced Excel skills (lookups, modelling, preferably macros)
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
* Confident communicator, able to influence non-finance stakeholders
* Proactive, solutions-focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting
