Job Title: Senior Project Planner

About the Role:
Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is recruiting for an experienced Project Planner to join Siemens Energy’s GT S Business. This is a 3-month project to support and implement planning tools within the UK & Ireland operations. The role will be based in Newcastle and requires a minimum of 4 days onsite per week.
You will play a key role in planning and scheduling for a rapidly growing historical products business, helping the team forecast headcount, resources, and financial needs for the next 1–5 years.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and maintain project planning systems for GT S Products across UK & Ireland.
* Identify and allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements and deadlines.
* Integrate SharePoint and SAP to understand current project load and model future requirements.
* Review project obligations and update planning information for key components and services (Order Management).
* Prepare and compile project schedules in collaboration with project and bid teams for future orders.
* Independently process tasks related to offers and orders while ensuring quality and deadlines.
* Create, review, and file project documentation using MS Project and other planning tools.
Key Skills / Experience Required:
* Proven experience in project planning and scheduling.
* Experience in bidding and managing projects.
* Strong knowledge of MS Office.
* Basic knowledge of SAP.
* Experience with document management systems and scheduling tools such as MS Project.
* Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
* Assertiveness, organizational skills, and creativity to respond to changing business requirements.
* Strong teamwork, empathy, and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Technical Skills & Competencies:
* Experience with digital planning tools.
* Ability to forecast headcount and financial requirements over 1–5 years.
* Understanding of UK & Ireland operations and historical products business.
* Compliance-ready (DBS clearance).
