Are you an aspiring Social Justice Officer looking to gain hands-on experience supporting vulnerable children and young people? This role offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills in safeguarding, inclusion, behaviour support, early intervention, and advocacy within an Outstanding SEN school in Maidenhead.

Whether your goal is Social Justice, Youth Justice, Social Work, Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Community Advocacy, or roles supporting vulnerable young people, this position provides a highly valued real-world foundation.

The LSA Role – Learning Support Assistant (Social Justice & Safeguarding Focus)

Monday–Friday | 8:30am–3:30pm | Term-time only

You will support pupils aged 4–11 who present with:

1. Social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
2. Behaviour linked to trauma, adverse experiences, or unmet needs
3. Risk factors associated with exclusion, isolation, or vulnerability
4. Communication and emotional regulation difficulties
5. Neurodivergent needs, including ASD and ADHD

You will help pupils build resilience, self-regulation, and social understanding through trauma-aware, restorative, and child-centred approaches.

11. A graduate interested in Social Justice, Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, or community development
12. Passionate about inclusion, equality, safeguarding, and improving outcomes for vulnerable children
13. Calm, empathetic, and resilient
14. Motivated to gain hands-on experience within a supportive, structured environment
15. Interested in wellbeing-led, holistic educational settings
16. No prior SEN experience required – full training provided
