Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plasterer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Duties
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers or bonding agents.
* Mix plaster according to specifications and apply it evenly using hand tools such as trowels and hawks.
* Use power tools for mixing, cutting, or shaping materials as required.
* Install lath or mesh reinforcement where necessary to ensure durability of the plaster finish.
* Repair damaged surfaces by removing old plaster and reapplying new layers with precision.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople such as bricklayers, roofers, to complete projects efficiently.
* Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and project specifications.
* Maintain a clean work environment by clearing debris and properly storing tools and materials.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in plastering, rendering or related construction trades.
* Proficiency in using hand tools including trowels, floats, and spatulas.
* Experience with power tools such as mixers, and drills.
* Knowledge of plastering, rendering is advantageous.
* Familiarity with safety procedures.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces if required. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and demonstrate a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
