Role Overview
The Director, Regional Head of Technology MedTech EP-CNV EMEA leads a business‑facing technology organization across midsize and emerging markets (France, Germany, Spain, Italy, UK). The role shapes growth strategies, modernizes platforms, and delivers differentiated digital and AI capabilities for customers and patients. The incumbent partners closely with senior MedTech leadership to align technology execution with business strategy, ensuring technology becomes a competitive advantage for the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategy & Outcomes: Co‑create the regional technology strategy for EP-CNV, translate it into a multi‑year product and platform roadmap, and serve as a strategic technology partner to senior leaders. Provide accountable technology leadership for end‑to‑end business outcomes, develop compliant technology in partnership with Cybersecurity, Regulatory Affairs, and Legal, and build cross‑region partnerships to accelerate digitalization.
* Run, Improve, Transform: Ensure smooth business operations through data availability and accuracy; foster partnerships with marketing, sales, and commercial operations to map processes and enable technology solutions, including AI; determine fit‑for‑purpose solutions across sales and marketing motions.
* AI, Data & Digital: Operationalize AI/ML and GenAI across commercial, supply chain, service, and R&D use cases, grounded in robust data governance and security. Use data and analytics to deliver actionable insights, champion interoperable data platforms and real‑time telemetry, and implement privacy‑by‑design practices.
* Product Management & Delivery: Drive a disciplined product‑management (HPT) approach to ideate, build, and scale high‑impact solutions; link roadmaps to OKRs and dependable delivery. Own the business technology portfolio—prioritization, funding, delivery, adoption, and benefits realization—leveraging global JJT product teams and platforms.
* Leadership & Talent: Lead and develop a high‑performing team of product, engineering, data, and delivery leaders; attract world‑class talent and foster an inclusive, learning‑oriented culture. Coach people managers to build an inclusive, high‑engagement culture within their teams.
* Financials & Governance: Develop and manage the regional technology budget, ensuring investment decisions align with value, risk, and compliance, and continuously optimize run vs. change. Uphold quality, cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance expectations with Quality/Regulatory, Legal, and Privacy partners.
* Stakeholder & Market Impact: Ensure technology enables successful product launches and lifecycle management; tailor solutions to local market dynamics; champion customer‑centric design with providers, payers, and health systems; coordinate customers’ engagement in technology aspects (connectivity, cyber security, privacy).
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
* 12+ years of technology leadership, including direct experience leading line‑of‑business, engineering, data operations, or product teams.
* 8+ years of people leadership in a matrixed environment at scale.
* Demonstrated ability to apply technology to solve business problems with exceptional communication, influence, and stakeholder partnership across senior levels.
* Experience with business processes (bids & tenders, order to cash, customer engagement) and their interface with foundational technology platforms (ERP, CRM, MES).
* Proven track record in product management, agile delivery, and portfolio governance; ability to connect roadmaps to measurable outcomes.
* Fluency with cloud, APIs, data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML/GenAI; hands‑on leadership implementing these capabilities beyond pilot stages.
* Experience modernizing legacy environments while introducing new digital and AI‑enabled solutions safely and compliantly.
* Collaborated effectively across a complex, matrixed organization to drive alignment, scalable solutions, and strategic priorities.
* Preferred: MedTech domain exposure to cardio and neurovascular products (digital surgery, robotics, imaging/computer vision, connected equipment).
* Demonstrated success hiring and developing outstanding technical and product talent; recognized executive presence and change leadership.
Key Relationships
Reports to: VP & Head of Technology and AI (Electrophysiology, Cardio and Neurovascular). Key relationships include regional MedTech leadership teams, cross‑functional partners (Cybersecurity, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Quality), and external stakeholders such as technology providers, governments, and advisory boards.
