Relationship Director – Defence
An international Corporate Bank is seeking a well-networked, proactive Relationship Director to develop its Defence sector offering focussed on the UK and parts of Europe. The role is based in London.
This is a rare opportunity to build a business largely from scratch and take ownership.
Responsibilities
* Identify market opportunities in the Defence and related sectors. Establish, develop and manage client relationships and be the banks point of contact with those clients.
* Analyse client businesses, identify client goals and proactively introduce corporate and commercial banking solutions as appropriate.
* Provide guidance to clients to support financial decisions
* Develop close working relationships with other areas of the bank with a view to cross-sell and related opportunities
* Continually assess the risks associated with the client relationship and propose/implement measures to minimise potential risks.
* Continually monitor client satisfaction, revenue and other significant metrics.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Relationship professional in a Corporate Bank
* Strong network in the Large Corporate client and financial community in the Defence sector
* Strong knowledge of lending products
* The ability to develop, as well as manage, client relationships
* The ability and desire to proactively build a business
* Well-developed negotiation and relationship building skills, both internal and external
