Estimator - Mechanical Building Services

A leading mechanical and electrical contractor is currently looking for an experienced Estimator to deliver a quality standard on multiple projects - from estimation to completion. My client is renowned for their services related to mechanical and electrical contracting, in-house design, installation, and maintenance.

Responsibilities:
1. Managing all aspects of the estimating process at a commercial level, dealing with both the internal team and the client.
2. Producing the highest quality estimates using Trimble estimating software.
3. Accurately measuring material and quantities from drawings in accordance with the specifications.
4. Identifying appropriate suppliers and subcontractors from the company's supplier database or the client's preferred supplier list.
5. Generating enquiries, obtaining, and analysing quotes for tender requirements from subcontractors and suppliers.
6. Collating detailed price lists and bills of quantities of everything needed on each project to help inform the tender bid submission.
7. Monitoring, reporting, and following up on estimates submitted using the internal tracker.
8. Carrying out site surveys and attending various meetings, which may be on Teams or in person.
9. Carrying out project handover to the project team on successful tenders.
10. Ensuring compliance with the company's latest policies and staying up to date with any changes to company procedures.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
1. An understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods.
2. Experience as a Mechanical Building Estimator on large scale new build and commercial projects.
3. HNC in Building Services desired but not essential.
4. Full UK Driving Licence.
