Health & Safety Manager
Location: Canary Wharf (E14) – Head Office
Hours: 8:30 - 17:30, Monday to Friday (one day WFH on Friday)
Contract: 40 hours per week, permanent

We’re a family‑owned property developer with over 40 years in business and 80+ awards. We manage 11,000 homes across 12 luxury residential developments in London and are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join us at Head Office.

What You'll Do
* Serve as the primary coordinator for fire, health, and safety across all properties.
* Conduct on‑site audits each quarter for each property, covering a checklist including health & safety documentation and SOPs using Vantify Risk Manager, Incident Reporting System and internal procedures.
* Carry out physical inspections of the property, including controlled and high‑risk areas.
* Interview key team members to verify compliance with procedures.
* Prepare technical reports on findings.
* Maintain tracker documentation in Monday.com and Excel.
* Perform “stress test” exercises to test emergency preparedness of the property management teams.
* Attend sites after incidents to carry out immediate mitigations and conduct investigations.
* Plan and organise the risk assessment programme: select providers for all risks assessments and ensure they are fully documented (Fire Risk, Health & Safety, Water Hygiene, Leisure facilities, Play equipment). Generally completed annually per building; the Health & Safety Manager will conduct Fire and Health & Safety Risk assessments themselves two out of every three years.
* Follow up with providers and property management personnel to ensure completion and action recording on the risk management system.
* Maintain reporting system for accidents, incidents and near‑misses: attend serious incidents (including out‑of‑hours responses), conduct investigations, advise on lessons learned, and compile monthly reports.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
* Chartered Health and Safety (CMIOSH) or equivalent.
* Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
* 5 + years of experience carrying out risk assessments.
* Technical knowledge of high‑rise residential building operations.
* Proven track record in managing risk, health and safety.
* Strong auditing and reporting skills at a senior level, producing high‑quality technical reports.
* Excellent communication and people‑management skills.
* Solid understanding of current legislation and standards.
* Experience with Vantify, Monday.com and PowerBI is an advantage.
