Employment Director – Hanley (Stoke area)
PQE: 6+ years
A well established, top tier firm are looking to appoint an Employment Director to lead and grow their employment offering in Hanley. This role is a chance to build the firm’s presence in the Stoke area, develop work through internal referrals and external business development, and shape the team during an exciting period of rebranding and expansion.
What the role involves:
* Advising both employers and employees on a wide range of employment issues
* Managing tricky and straightforward cases, from disciplinary and grievance matters to redundancies, unfair dismissal, discrimination claims, TUPE transfers, and settlement agreements
* Drafting employment contracts, company policies, and handbooks
* Representing clients at Employment Tribunals when needed
* Driving new business and building relationships across the firm, including with Corporate and Commercial teams
* Mentoring and supporting junior team members as the practice grows
What you need to succeed:
* Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 6+ years’ experience in employment law
* Comfortable managing a mix of cases and clients
* Strong at building relationships and spotting business development opportunities
* Experience leading or mentoring others
* Highly organised and able to juggle multiple priorities
