This position will be based at our Knaresborough office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to one day per week. This role can be fulfilled on a part-time or full-time basis.

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and creative
Marketing & Communications Coordinator
to join our team and report into the Head of Marketing and Communications. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or professionals at the start of their marketing career to develop a broad range of skills across marketing, communications, and public relations.

You will support the delivery of Harmony's marketing, communications and PR, helping to shape how we present ourselves to stakeholders, communities, and the wider public. From managing digital channels and producing creative content to supporting public affairs engagement, this role offers variety, where no day is the same, as well as responsibility, and the chance to grow in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

* Support the development and delivery of campaigns across digital, print, and media channels.
* Draft, edit, and proofread press releases, web copy, newsletters, and internal communications.
* Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and promotional materials.
* Liaise with external agencies where required to support campaigns and projects.

Public Affairs & Stakeholder Engagement

* Monitor political, industry, and media developments relevant to the business.
* Assist with the preparation of briefings, consultation materials, and stakeholder updates.
* Help coordinate events, community engagement activities, and meetings with external stakeholders.

Digital & Design

* Update and maintain company website content (using CMS platform WordPress).
* Create graphics, infographics, and other digital assets for social media and presentations.
* Contribute ideas and content for social media channels, helping to grow online reach and engagement.
* Work with creative and digital agencies on specific design, web, brand and campaign projects.

General

* Provide day-to-day administrative support.
* Contribute to the measurement and reporting of communications activity.
* Support colleagues across the business with marketing and communications advice as required.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

* Degree in marketing, communications, public relations, politics, design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
* Creative mindset with an interest in design, branding, and storytelling.
* Openness to learn new skills and work across a variety of areas in marketing, comms and PR
* Basic knowledge of website content management systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Desirable but not essential:

* Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) or Canva.
* Knowledge of HTML/CSS or basic web development.
* Familiarity with political or public affairs landscapes.
* Previous experience in a marketing, PR, or communications role (including internships, work experience).
* Experience of working with agencies (PR, digital, development).
