Position Summary:
The Facilities Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the security, cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of the school buildings, grounds, and facilities across three sites. This includes supporting meetings and events, managing security protocols, and assisting with maintenance tasks. Additionally, the role involves overseeing vehicle-related responsibilities, including checks, maintenance, and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the security and maintenance of the school site
* Manage external contractors and oversee maintenance and repairs
* Assist with minor improvements and decoration tasks
* Manage waste disposal efficiently
* Maintain water, lighting, and HVAC systems
* Conduct health and safety checks and maintain records
* Maintain equipment and liaise with suppliers
* Support maintenance and capital projects planning
Vehicle Responsibilities
* Oversee daily and monthly vehicle checks and maintenance planning
* Ensure school vehicles are clean and compliant (TAX, MOT, Insurance)
* Coordinate with vehicle hire companies and manage vehicle scheduling
