Over the next 25 years, EMF expects to add billions to the regional economy, create thousands of new jobs and reinvest hundreds of millions in retained business rates back into the East Midlands. The ambition is real. The infrastructure is in place. The work is under way.
That's where you come in.
You'll be a senior member of the Commercial Team, working closely with colleagues across Planning and Development and reporting to the Head of Planning and Development. The role carries real responsibility and genuine scope, contributing across a portfolio of strategically significant sites where the work is varied, the stakeholders are demanding and the outcomes matter.
The brief spans the full development lifecycle: appraisal and residual valuation, site acquisition and disposal across freehold, leasehold and option structures, complex multi-party negotiations including JVs, development agreements, overage and clawback. You'll also provide planning viability advice that feeds into funding, grant and business case decisions, and play an active part in managing relationships with local authorities, developers, investors and landowners.
This is a role where the work is genuinely interesting, the scale is significant and the impact is visible.
What you'll bring.
MRICS qualified preferably, with five or more years of development experience.
We're open to your background - Developer, Regeneration, Development Consultancy or Public/Private Partnerships are all equally relevant. If you've worked on large-scale or infrastructure-led development, that's an advantage. What counts above all is the quality of what you've done, your commercial judgement and the confidence to operate at a senior level.
