Associate - Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental: Superb opportunity at this leading, Medium-sized Environmental Consultancy. This hybrid role is based in Leeds.

As an Associate Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental within their team in Leeds, you will take a leadership role in managing the environmental aspects of land assessments, remediation, and development projects.
Responsibilities
* Managing and overseeing site investigations, contaminated land assessments, and environmental risk assessments.
* Designing and implementing remediation strategies to mitigate contamination risks for development sites.
* Providing technical leadership to the team on geo-environmental matters, including soil and groundwater analysis, pollutant linkage assessments, and regulatory compliance.
* Leading project teams and coordinating the delivery of work within time and budget constraints.
* Collaborating with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
* Writing and reviewing technical reports, including Phase I and Phase II environmental assessments, remediation method statements, and validation reports.
* Supporting business development activities, contributing to tender submissions, and identifying new business opportunities.
Qualifications
* Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline.
* Extensive track record (8+ years) in geotechnical or geo-environmental consultancy, particularly in land contamination and remediation.
* Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g., CEnv, CGeol, CSci) is desirable.
* Proven track record in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* In‑depth knowledge of contaminated land regulations and background in preparing remediation strategies.
* Strong communication skills, with background in liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
