The role
involves managing tax reporting, compliance and advisory work, and collaborating closely with the Partner Tax Team. You’ll work with the Team Lead to oversee key processes and contribute to wider tax initiatives. This position suits an experienced tax professional who is comfortable working independently, guiding others, and leading strategic tax projects.
What your days will look like
1. Support the Business Tax Team Lead across technical and operational tax matters, including compliance for PwC LLP and its subsidiaries, while developing expertise in partnership taxation.
2. Collaborate with the Head of Firm’s Taxes and Senior Managers on UK and international tax matters, including overseas tax footprint, acquisitions, IP, transfer pricing and Country‑by‑Country reporting.
3. Identify and research opportunities to enhance tax processes, operational effectiveness and the quality of outputs.
4. Contribute actively to team development, continuous‑improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing across tax teams.
This role is for you if
5. Qualified in accountancy and/or tax (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CTA or an international equivalent), with experience in direct tax. Experience in an in-house tax role is desirable, but not essential as training will be given.
6. Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving and project management skills, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
7. Ability to communicate clearly and build good working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
8. Flexible, open-minded and agile in approach, with a commitment to team goals and continuous improvement.
9. Technology enabled mindset and the ability to identify and drive change through technology solutions.
