MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor – Gatwick Airport This role sits within our in house Mechanical & Electrical Subcontractor, Mace MEP. You will be working on an ongoing framework based at Gatwick Airport. The role includes being responsible for the commercial management of MEP packages collaborating with package managers and reporting into the project commercial lead. You will provide risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms, mitigating risks and protecting work packages and project margins through cost control systems. You’ll be responsible for: · Responsible for the commercial management of MEP subcontract packages from procurement to final account. · Procurement of MEP subcontract packages and materials including collating tender documentation & administering tenders. · Accountable for commercial package management and reporting to the commercial lead who is based across multiple projects / frameworks. · Establish cost control systems including administering client and subcontract changes. · Establish risk and opportunity reporting mechanisms. · Mitigate risks and protect package/project margin. · Enhance profit by seeking opportunities through change and cost reduction measures such as value engineering. · Operate and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You’ll need to have: · Experience with subcontract profit and loss reporting. · Experience with administering monthly commercial calendar. · Experience in establishing cost control systems. · Leading value engineer and cost exercises. · Preparing monthly commercial reports. · Developed planning and organisational skills. · Ability to communicate, collaborate & network with key stakeholders and senior leaders.
