We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and craft captivating, interactive experiences that push educational boundaries. Our innovative large touchscreen displays are reshaping the way we learn, share, and engage in classrooms and boardrooms worldwide.
1. Develop and implement automation strategies to minimize errors and enhance performance.
2. Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines.
3. Provision new servers and projects in the cloud.
4. Identify architectural and infrastructure issues and develop solutions involving both development and IT teams.
5. Lead new cloud projects to completion with the development and quality teams, ensuring system security, stability, scalability, measurability, and flexibility.
6. Manage in-house systems to enhance productivity for development and quality teams in building, deploying, and testing new code.
7. Manage monitoring and alerting infrastructure to resolve and prevent issues.
8. Define and maintain production persistence infrastructure, including data backups and restores.
9. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
10. At least 6 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration or system operations engineering for web-based application platforms.
11. Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on team collaboration.
13. Proficient in scripting and automation using bash, Python, etc.
14. Experience in securing production systems, including implementing access controls, auditing, and ensuring compliance.
15. Proven experience managing large-scale, highly available production environments in a cloud setting.
16. Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Nagios, PagerDuty, Splunk, etc.
17. Experience operating on virtualization platforms, both locally and in the cloud, such as VMware, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.
18. Proficiency with CI/CD tools and platforms like TeamCity, Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps.
