About the Role
You’ll be joining a consultancy known for delivering high‑quality, innovative engineering solutions for residential developers across the UK. With a rapidly expanding client base and increasing project scale, the business is now looking for an enthusiastic Foundation Engineer who can contribute to both technical delivery and the continued growth of the organisation.
This role offers a rare opportunity to influence the development of a growing consultancy, work closely with clients, and support junior engineers while managing a varied and fast‑paced workload.
Key Responsibilities
*
Deliver geotechnical and structural foundation design for large‑scale residential schemes
*
Review ground investigation reports and advise on foundation requirements and further testing
*
Interpret topographical surveys and apply findings to foundation assessments
*
Produce detailed foundation designs and value‑engineered solutions
*
Provide on‑site presence and monitor site activities where required
*
Recommend additional geotechnical investigations to optimise foundation strategies
*
Work collaboratively within a small team while managing independent tasks
*
Communicate technical principles clearly to both specialist and non‑specialist stakeholders
*
Support and mentor junior engineers
Experience & Qualifications
*
Minimum 8 years’ engineering experience, including 5+ years in the residential sector
*
Degree-qualified (2:1 minimum), ideally with a Master’s
*
Strong understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes and Building Regulations
*
Proven experience in both geotechnical and structural engineering design
*
Extensive knowledge of geotechnical design, foundation assessments and residential foundation solutions
*
Ability to interpret GI reports and advise clients on foundation strategy
*
Competent in AutoCAD 2D, Excel, Word, Tekla Tedds and Masterseries
*
Excellent communication, problem‑solving and organisational skills
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
*
CSCS card
