About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wants to develop their skills further working in a fast paced and skilled team. The role of the Engine Stand Operative will involve the inspection, service and repair of Engine Stands.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
* Initial visual inspection of engine stands & products delivered.
* Upon receipt of job sheet, prepare stands to specification ready for dispatch.
* Service and where required repair the engine stands to required specification.
* Take delivery of products and storage of such in the ESR facility.
* Stock control of MVP bags.
* Regular communication with customers.
* Provide ESR services & duties on site at customer premises/sites throughout the UK.
* General workshop duties including good housekeeping of the workshop area.
* Safe operation of the forklift truck and other mechanical equipment at all times.
* Manual handling of items following laid down procedures and adhering to Health & Safety standards.
* Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the ESR Supervisor.
About You
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings;
* Some previous knowledge of mechanical engineering processes.
* Previous experience of using hand held tools essential.
* Able to judge multiple priorities and prioritise tasks accordingly.
* Dexterity.
* FLT experience is desirable.
* Overhead crane experience would be advantageous, but training will be provided to the successful candidate.
* Basic Maths and English knowledge.
* Holder of a full driving licence and a valid passport and have the ability to travel internationally.
You may have experience in the following: Engine Assembly Operative, Engine Build Technician, Engine Fitter, Engine Test Operative, Engine Maintenance Operative, Engine Workshop Technician, etc.
