With a hands-on culture and close proximity to its clients, Sogeti is currently looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our Quality Engineering and Test Practice, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving impactful value creation for our clients.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
Mandatory Skills :
1. Basic understanding of software testing principles such as functional, regression and exploratory testing.
2. Good understanding to automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or JUnit (e.g., running existing scripts or modifying basic ones).
3. Familiarity with test management tool and defect tracking tools like Jira, Azure, ALM or similar platforms.
4. Good communication skills and willingness to work closely with developers, and other stakeholders.
5. Attention to detail when reviewing software features and identifying potential issues.
6. Exposure to Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, and participation in team ceremonies.
7. A proactive attitude toward learning and improving testing processes.
Essential Skills:
8. Basic experience with API testing using tools like Postman (writing simple requests and checking responses).
9. Good knowledge of programming languages like Java, JavaScript, or Python for test automation.
10. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests fit into the development workflow.
11. Familiarity with version control systems like Git (e.g., cloning repositories, committing changes).
