Job Description
As the Shipping Manager you will,
* Support and develop the team to increase performance, engagement, and create a succession plan
* Oversee and manage all shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
* Coordinate with logistics partners and internal teams to streamline supply chain operations.
* Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve cost efficiency in the shipping process.
* Maintain accurate documentation for all shipping activities and transactions.
* Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipping processes.
* Provide regular updates and reports to management on shipping performance.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Shipping Manager should have:
* Experience in logistics or shipping operations, ideally within the chemicals industry.
* A strong understanding of supply chain processes and procedures, including Dangerous Goods trained in Air (IATA ICAO), Sea (IMDG), Road (ADR)
* Proficiency in using relevant software, and support ERP development in this area
* Passion for team management and development
* Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders effectively.
