Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Female PA/carer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with Deaf individuals. This role involves providing communication, care, guidance, and medical assistance/intervention to a teenage girl.
She is a bright, determined and very able young person who is living with a medical condition that requires close monitoring but minimal intervention. She is active, funny and lives life to the full.
You will join our small, skilled team to provide care and communication to our teenage daughter. You will support her at home, to access school, activities, holidays abroad and much more. 1:1 and 2:1 support depending on circumstances.
An ESSENTIAL part of this role;
- working days and waking nights on rota basis within a team.
* working away from home for periods of time eg holidays/college etc
* reliability and flexibility
Responsibilities:
* BSL Communication
* Medical care (full training provided)
* Assist in daily activities and routines
* Supervise a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements:
* Prior experience working with within the Deaf community.
* BSL LEVEL 2 and above qualification (ongoing accredited training provided and essential)
* Ability to work compassionately with individuals of diverse needs
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with people effectively
* Patience, empathy, and understanding towards those in need of support
Minimal personal care required and no hoisting/lifting.
Must drive and have your own car.
Non smoker/vaper.
