We’re looking for a Senior Advisor to join our Producer Responsibility team to help deliver the Government’s Resources and Waste Strategy.
You’ll work with Environment Agency colleagues, Defra, UK devolved administrations, and Industry to deliver significant legislative reforms. You can make a difference.
You’ll need to be adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of translating policy into action.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with stakeholders across government, industry, and the Environment Agency to influence and implement legislation for workstreams such as Packaging and Deposit Return Scheme, among others.
2. Providing technical advice within the Environment Agency and to industry.
3. Driving reforms in waste management to improve how waste is managed in England, including shaping digital systems and policy development.
We are a dispersed team working with various technical and project teams nationwide. While we use smart tools to stay connected, some travel and overnight stays may be required.
The Team
You will join our Producer Responsibility Team, which leads waste regulation reforms to meet government ambitions for resource conservation and waste minimization. Additional Information
This is a flexible/hybrid role with an EA Office base location. Some travel and overnight stays may be necessary.
