Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Controller to join our client's fast-paced production site in Newmarket, with an immediate start available. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity and there is a high chance of a temp-to-perm contract for the right candidate. Due to the location of the site in Newmarket, candidates must have access to their own vehicle or reliable transport to travel to and from the workplace.
Responsibilities
* Manage intake operations from a quality perspective, including inspection, reporting, and ensuring production demands are met without delays.
* Lead and support the Intake team, ensuring all quality standards, food safety requirements, and company procedures are followed at all times.
* Monitor product quality, report non-conforming goods, and maintain clear communication with operations, technical teams, and management.
* Support audits and customer visits, oversee equipment checks and calibration, and ensure staff are trained in correct procedures.
* Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site and ensure all employees follow company policies and food hygiene requirements.
Qualifications
* Experience in a quality control or food production environment with a good understanding of food safety and quality standards.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage priorities.
* Professional and discreet manner, with a strong awareness of health and safety.
