The Opportunity
We are looking for a high-calibre Project Manager to lead a critical civil engineering package on a landmark multi-phase development in Central London. This is a high-profile role for a delivery-focused PM who thrives on the technical and logistical challenges of major urban infrastructure.
The scope includes complex utility diversions, deep drainage, RC substructures, and high-spec urban realm finishes, all situated within a logistically constrained, high-footfall environment.
Key Deliverables
* Project Leadership: Full accountability for the successful delivery of the civils package, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification, and on programme.
* Contract Management: Expert administration of NEC4 (Option A/C), including robust management of Early Warnings, Compensation Events, and variations.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as the primary interface with TfL, local authorities, and third-party developers to secure necessary permits and ensure operational continuity.
* Commercial Control: Working in tandem with the commercial team to maintain budget accuracy and maximize project profitability.
* Programming: Maintaining and updating the project schedule (P6), identifying critical path risks before they impact delivery.
Required Experience
* Civil Engineering Expertise: A proven track record of delivering £10m+ civils or infrastructure packages within the UK.
* London Delivery: Deep understanding of the specific logistical hurdles of working in Central London (Section 278s, Red Routes, and noise/environmental constraints).
* Technical Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering, CSCS Black Card, and SMSTS are essential.
* Contract Knowledge: Extensive experience operating under NEC4 forms of contract.
