We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior/Principal/Associate Geotechnical Engineer based in our Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Manchester or Leeds offices to support our rapidly expanding workload and our exciting portfolio of prestigious geotechnical projects both in the UK and internationally.
We need to increase our team to meet the growing demands from our clients, especially in the infrastructure sector (particularly rail, highways & water) and the energy sector, which includes carbon capture & storage, renewable energy (wind, current and hydropower), low carbon engineering, offshore and onshore oil & gas, and nuclear power.

Requirements:
* The successful applicant will be a senior/principal geotechnical engineer with a proven technical and project management track record. The role includes mentoring junior engineers and requires excellent communication skills.
* Degree in civil engineering or geology, postgraduate qualification in geotechnics, and chartered status as a civil engineer or geologist are required.
* We seek candidates with the ambition to develop and expand our infrastructure geotechnics capabilities across diverse sectors.
Candidates should have:
* Extensive experience in sectors such as highways, rail, or water geotechnics.
* Strong academic background, ideally MSc or equivalent.
* Chartered status.
* Proven experience as a senior/principal geotechnical engineer in a fast-paced consultancy.
* Project management experience, including client relationships, work planning, and commercial management.
* Experience with geotechnical design and application of CDM Regulations.
* Excellent interpersonal, technical, and leadership skills.
* Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients.
* Good track record in negotiating and managing successful projects.
* Excellent report writing and self-checking abilities.
* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
* Valid UK driving license.
