We are recruiting for an Business Development Executive to drive nationwide growth for a leading subcontract provider of laser cutting and folding services. This role is ideal for a proactive, strategic salesperson who enjoys building strong relationships across the UK manufacturing and engineering sectors.
You will take full ownership of your schedule, manage national client visits, and play a key role in shaping the company’s long-term business development strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and win new business across engineering, manufacturing, and fabrication sector
* Conduct regular UK-wide client visits and tailored service presentations
* Build long-term relationships with engineers, buyers, production teams, and senior decision-makers
* Manage your own diary, appointments, and travel arrangements
* Produce detailed visit reports and provide commercial insight to senior leadership
* Represent the company professionally at all customer meetings and industry events
Requirements
Essential:
* Proven success in selling into engineering, manufacturing, or fabrication environments
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to understand or interpret technical drawings
* Confident using digital tools for scheduling and reporting
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Self-motivated with excellent planning and organisation skills
Desirable:
* Knowledge of steel processing, metal fabrication, or subcontract manufacturing
