Job Title: Project Manager – Passive Fire Surveyor \nLocation: Northampton (nationwide travel required)\nSalary: £50,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)\nReporting To: Operations Manager\nEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-time\nHours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week\n\n Company Overview:\n\n We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing specialist contractor in the fire protection industry, with a strong reputation for quality and compliance. Due to sustained growth, we are seeking an experienced Contracts/ Project Manager with expertise in Passive Fire Protection to oversee and deliver nationwide fire door surveying.\n\n This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and knowledgeable professional to join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of fire safety solutions.\n\n Role Overview:\n\n As a Project/ Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of passive fire protection surveying – including firestopping, compartmentation, and fire door surveys. You will ensure quality standards, health & safety compliance, and client satisfaction, managing teams on-site while maintaining third-party accreditations (FIRAS, BM TRADA).\n\n This role requires hands-on knowledge of passive fire systems and strong leadership skills to manage site teams and liaise effectively with clients.\n\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nEnd-to-end project management of Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) remedial works\nConducting site surveys, taking measurements, and preparing job-specific quotations\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, tenants, and representatives\nCreating and managing weekly work schedules; allocating jobs to operatives\nSupervising operatives on-site, including conducting monthly audits (PPE, tools, site condition)\nReporting and recording near misses, incidents, and raising NCRs as needed\nMonthly inspection of fire doors (visual and intrusive) in residential and commercial settings\nProviding detailed surveys and recommendations for door upgrades and compartmentation works\nEnsuring compliance with all third-party certification and Health & Safety standardsCandidate Profile:\n\n Essential:\n\nProven contracts/ project management experience in passive fire protection surveying (firestopping, joinery, or compartmentation)\nExperience working with a certified passive fire contractor\nStrong understanding of fire safety regulations and third-party schemes (e.g.
