SEN Learning Support Assistant Needed for Immediate Start in Grays
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential? Our schools in Grays are looking for dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join our team immediately.
About the Role:
As an SEN LSA, you will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. From assisting with classroom activities to providing one-to-one support, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with SEN across various age groups and abilities, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the individual needs of pupils, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, providing encouragement and reassurance to help build their confidence and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement and review individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in a school setting or alternative environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate pupils with diverse needs.
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable but not essential.
