About the Role
A leading consultancy is seeking a Senior Consultant to advise on energy regulation, policy, and strategy. This role involves working on high-profile projects shaping the utilities sector, including price controls, regulatory frameworks, and industry transformation.
You should bring expertise in energy networks regulation, with knowledge of Ofgem’s RIIO price controls, to help clients navigate regulatory changes, optimize financial performance, and influence industry policy.
Key Responsibilities
* Support delivery of regulatory policy, price control, and market framework projects.
* Advise leading energy and utility clients on policy developments and transactions.
* Engage with regulators, government bodies, and investors.
* Conduct economic and financial analysis applying regulatory and microeconomic principles.
* Draft reports, develop insights, and present recommendations.
* Collaborate with senior team members to deliver client solutions.
* Contribute to business development through research, proposals, and pitches.
Qualifications & Skills
* Understanding of UK energy regulation, Ofgem’s RIIO framework, and economic principles.
* Experience in regulatory finance, utility markets, or microeconomics.
* Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Stakeholder engagement experience, including with policy-makers and regulators.
* Motivated self-starter with a passion for energy and regulatory change.
