About The Role
University Centre Leeds within Leeds City College is recruiting for a Higher Education Lecturer – Sports. The role involves delivering our Higher Education Sport provision within the HE Education, Health and Law department. The successful candidate will support students in achieving their aspirations of working in the sports industry, teaching and inspiring across the BA (Hons) Physical Education and Sports Coaching and the BSc (Hons) Sports Performance and Exercise programmes.
What You Will Do
* Deliver high‑quality teaching and assessment across a range of sport courses (Levels 4 to 6).
* Create engaging learning experiences that motivate students to achieve their best and contribute to course development.
* Coordinate courses, undertake internal moderation and build links by working with external stakeholders.
About You
* Hold a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE) or be willing to obtain one within two years.
* Hold a relevant highest‑level vocational qualification or degree in physical education or the sports field, with up‑to‑date subject knowledge and recent teaching experience.
* Have experience of positively managing student and group progression.
