The Post
The Central Legal Office (CLO) provides comprehensive legal services to Health Boards and Special NHS Entities in Scotland, covering all aspects of litigation and employment law, property transactions and commercial contracts. This post involves providing high quality administrative and legal secretarial support to a team of Employment Solicitors, including preparation of relevant legal documentation for Tribunal hearings, using the iCasework management system, arranging meetings and training events, maintaining diaries, file management and dealing with telephone enquiries. The role includes copy typing and audio transcription, but this is a small percentage of the service provided.
The Candidate
To undertake the full range of duties, you will ideally have proven secretarial experience, knowledge of secretarial processes to HNC level, audio and copy typing skills and knowledge of Employment Tribunal terminology would be desirable. Efficient use of Microsoft 365, especially Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, and a keen interest in IT, including case management systems, are required.
Location and Working Pattern
Gyle Square, Edinburgh. Monday to Friday, 18 hours per week. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
