Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager with acute care experience and a current WA or Compact RN license for a day shift hospital position.
Responsibilities Position is based in the Case Management department of an acute care hospital
Patient care includes units such as ICU, PCU, ED, Family Birth, and Adult Medical
Average daily census is 30 patients
Assignment is 13 weeks with 5x8 hour day shifts; a 4x10 option may be available upon request
Every other weekend required
No on-call requirements
Floating is required within scope to like units as needed
EPIC is the charting system used
Provide case management across diverse inpatient settings including ICU, PCU, emergency, and family birth units
Responsible for care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review
Travelers must be willing to float as needed between similar units
Must be open to discussing potential temp-to-perm opportunities if asked during interview
Compliance with all onboarding requirements must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
Professional dress is required; specific scrub color guidelines will be provided at assignment
Returning employees must have a 3-month gap between permanent and travel positions and not live within 50 miles
Requirements Active WA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum of 2 years recent inpatient acute care experience is required
Current BLS certification required
CCM or ACM certification preferred
Experience with Milliman Guidelines or InterQual Criteria is preferred
EPIC charting experience preferred
This assignment does not accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility
