As an experienced waiter, you will be entrusted with ensuring every guest enjoys exceptional service that reflects the elegance, warmth, and hospitality of authentic Lebanese dining.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Service Excellence
* Welcome and engage guests with professionalism, warmth, and discretion.
* Provide expert knowledge of the menu, wine list, and Lebanese dining traditions, offering tailored recommendations.
* Manage food and beverage service with precision, ensuring seamless dining experiences.
* Anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns swiftly, and maintain high guest satisfaction.
2. Team Leadership & Collaboration
* Act as a role model for junior waitstaff, supporting training and mentoring.
* Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to guarantee smooth, timely service.
* Assist in supervising sections of the floor when required.
3. Order & Service Management
* Accurately manage orders through the POS system and ensure efficient delivery.
* Oversee table setups, cleanliness, and service flow in line with fine dining standards.
* Proactively monitor guest tables, ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
4. Upselling & Guest Engagement
* Confidently promote daily specials, premium wines, and private dining.
* Develop rapport with regular guests, remembering preferences and enhancing loyalty.
* Contribute to achieving sales targets through professional upselling techniques.
5. Standards & Compliance
* Maintain immaculate presentation of dining areas at all times.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
* Support management in upholding Ishbilia's service standards and reputation.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Proven experience as a waiter in fine dining, luxury, or high-volume premium restaurants.
* Strong knowledge of Lebanese cuisine and Mediterranean dining culture.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to connect with guests.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask under pressure.
* Professional appearance, confident demeanour, and impeccable table service etiquette.
* Fluent in English and Arabic is highly desirable.
