Jamestan Engineering Limited, have a vacancy for a CNC operator within the Turning Department.
The successful applicant will ideally be able to demonstrate mechanical and / or engineering practical experience. Must be reliable with good time keeping and be willing to learn.
Experience would be an advantage but not necessary as training will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
· Running batch work and checking dimensions using various items of measuring equipment
· Filling in paperwork in accordance with our procedures
· Completing daily machine checks
· Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Skills:
· Reading and understanding engineering drawings
· Following job route cards (process sheets)
· Basic IT knowledge
· Basic engineering knowledge
Full time position.
Working week 38 hours - Shift work.
Shift work – Alternating earlies / lates.
Earlies - Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:00; Fridays 06:00 to 12:00 (38 Hours)
Lates - Monday to Thursday 14:00 to 23:30 (38 Hours)
Friday / Saturday overtime when available.
Remuneration: £12.71 to £13.30 basic per hour depending upon experience plus 20% shift premium (£15.25 to £15.96).
Holidays 25 days per year plus bank holidays.
