We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new supported living service in Bradley Stoke, providing 24-hour support to young people with learning disabilities, autism, and physical disabilities. For many of those we support, this will be their first time living away from home, so we are looking for patient, empathetic, and compassionate support workers to help them navigate this transition. You will play a key role in assisting individuals with daily living tasks, including supporting them to cook the meals they choose, housekeeping, budgeting, attending appointments, and personal care, while ensuring their overall well-being. Additionally, you will support them in finding meaningful activities both locally and across Bristol, helping them achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. Essential requirements for the role: Flexibility - shifts will be worked in a variety of patterns, to include weekends and waking nights. IT skills - as you will be updating care plans, medication records, etc. Communication - able to communicate clearly with the people you will support, their families and your service team. While experience in working with autism, learning disabilities, or challenging behaviours is desirable, it is not essential. Drivers are preferred but not required.
