In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll provide a full range of OH nursing activities, working across both clinic and client sites. You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional clinical services while building strong, trusted relationships with clients.
Main Purpose of the Role
As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will be responsible for the delivery and management of:
• Immunisation Programmes
• Health Screening and Surveillance
• New Starter Screening
You will work from both clinics and client sites across the region, offering high‑quality, evidence‑based care.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Work collaboratively to support colleagues, the wider organisation and company stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective service delivery
Attend multiple client sites as directed by your line manager
Deliver an effective and competent level of care based on evidence‑based practice
Participate in clinical supervision and contribute to the development of staff
Ensure all clinical incidents, near misses and complaints are reported and managed in line with organisational policies
Take part in audits, share outcomes and make recommendations for continuous improvement
Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in accordance with company policy
Contribute positively to team meetings
Undertake additional duties appropriate to the level of the role
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
The ideal candidate will be:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Experienced in Immunisations
Competent in Phlebotomy
Desirable Skills & Experience
Travel health
Health surveillance – Spirometry, Audiometry
Immunisations, bloods, pre‑employment screening
Strong IT literacy (MS Office – Word and Excel)
Confident, competent and highly motivated with the ability to engage clients and colleagues
Able to work autonomously to meet service levels for screenings and consultations
Experience delivering a range of vaccination programmes
Evidence of ongoing professional development
Experience working within PGD/WI frameworks
Understanding of the National Immunisation Schedule and recommendations for Healthcare Workers as per The Green Book
Strong understanding of informed consent
Awareness of cold chain processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time‑management abilities
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
A full driving licence
Ability to work flexibly and travel to different sites as required
