Position: Continuous Improvement Lead (Operational Excellence Lead)
Location: Bridgwater
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm
We seek a Continuous Improvement Lead to transform site performance by reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with the Site Lead and Senior Leadership Team to implement Müller’s Operational Excellence Strategy.
This role offers opportunities to modernize processes, upskill teams, and foster a high-performance culture.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Implement elements 1-8 of Muller Excellence with the Site Lead and SLT
* Facilitate support cycles and assessments for Muller Excellence
* Act as a coach and enforcer of tools, systems, and processes within Muller Excellence
* Create annual performance targets and activity plans
* Use Muller Excellence tools to improve performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery, people, and sustainability
* Develop strategies to ensure ongoing site ownership of improvement activities
* Support the progression of roadmaps 9-12 and stakeholder engagement
* Demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills using data analysis
* Participate in OpEx community forums to share best practices
* Deploy operational excellence tools such as DMAIC, SMED, 5S, RCA
* Model and coach performance management systems
* Set targets and deploy OGSM across site functions
* Develop and promote an OpEx culture
* Create opportunities for continuous improvement projects
* Manage people, including performance reviews and coaching

Candidate Requirements:
Ideal candidates will have led site-wide improvement initiatives in manufacturing, using lean Six Sigma tools to solve operational challenges. They should be confident in coaching teams, influencing senior leaders, and delivering tangible results through data-driven approaches.
