The RPS Risk team has been a leading provider of nuclear safety and risk consultancy services to clients in the UK for over 30 years. We provide core radiological safety assessment services supported by in-house specialists in Criticality Safety, Radiological Shielding, Human Factors, Nuclear Fire, and Peer Review, with a team of 50 staff. This is complemented by a growing Fire (conventional) and Process Safety section serving various sectors.
Due to the nature of our work, all candidates will be required to undergo security clearance.

The Role:
* As a Nuclear Safety Assessor, you will work on safety projects across the UK, focusing on preparing nuclear safety cases and supporting documentation.
* Key responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with supervision (RPS Project Manager and/or clients) to deliver fit-for-purpose safety documentation.
* Liaising with engineering, plant operators, and safety disciplines such as Human Factors, Fire, Criticality, Radiological Shielding, and Environmental to present comprehensive safety cases.
* Representing RPS professionally to clients, potential clients, and peers.
Your skills and experience:
* At least 2 years of experience in nuclear safety or high-hazard industries.
* A degree or equivalent in Physics, Chemical, Mechanical, Control/Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
* Strong customer service, listening, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Flexible approach supporting effective delivery.
