Lead a Brand-New Project Supporting Ex-Offenders in Luton Ready to take the lead on something meaningful?
We’re recruiting for a brand-new role managing an innovative community hub in Luton. It’s a welcoming space where ex-offenders can access the support they need to move forward, whether that’s housing, health appointments, training, or simply a hot breakfast and a friendly face.
You’ll start with a team of 6 (and growing), delivering a unique programme that includes:
An onsite gym
Music studios and arts & crafts areas
Weekly “Doughnut and Debate” clubs
Cooked breakfasts (with clients often helping prep)Support is offered through 1:1 sessions focused on housing, benefits, GP/dentist registration, life skills like budgeting, and light-touch employment advice.
Your role will involve:
Leading the day-to-day running of the hub
Supporting, developing, and growing your team
Managing safeguarding and referrals
Building strong relationships with external partnersYou’ll be joining an award-winning charity (Investors in People | Best Companies) that genuinely looks after its staff. Your manager started in a frontline role themselves, so they understand the job and will have your back. And there’s real progression here, we’ve seen countless people we’ve placed move up through the organisation.
If you’ve managed teams delivering support to vulnerable people, maybe in probation, supported housing, custody, or community services, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now – we aim to respond to everyone. If you don’t hear back in 72 hours, send us a message via the “Send Us A Message” form on the Red 5 People website and a real human will get back to you. Or give us a call and ask for James
