Offer description

Window to the Womb ) is a specialist in providing medical diagnostic, gender, 4D baby, and early pregnancy scans. We are looking for a motivated and hard-working individual to join our team, assisting obstetric sonographers (who perform the scans) in providing a professional and memorable experience to our customers and their families.

Weekends are our busiest times and we are looking for someone to cover this period - working every weekend, either Saturday or Sunday, and both up to one weekend a month. Some additional hours will be available on weekdays.

The role

You will spend your working day introducing parents to their unborn baby, sometimes for the first time.

We are looking for someone to work weekends. We need someone who can offer flexibility to cover shifts. Following a training and bedding-in period, it's likely (though not guaranteed), that the successful candidate will initially be offered one or two shifts a week, which would be 8-12 hours.

The role provides the vital link between the clinician performing the scans (sonographer) and the customer and their family, ensuring that from the moment the customer arrives, their experience is optimised and the relationship is fully developed. We are looking for a confident and outgoing individual who is a team player and who will operate in a professional, caring and friendly manner. This individual should have the ability to build a strong rapport with our families; they should be mature and sensitive - something that is particularly essential in our early pregnancy clinic, and when there are medical issues identified with a baby during a scan.

Further detail about the role and Window to the Womb

There are three roles you will be expected to undertake as a scan assistant; on reception, at the print station, and assisting the sonographer in the scan room during scans, as a scan chaperone. You will rotate through the roles during different shifts. Training will be provided.

* Relationship Building - to build rapport and a strong relationship with the customer and their family ensuring that their experience is smooth, enjoyable, informative and relaxing.
