Children's Home Dual Registered Manager (1 & 2 bed homes)

Salary: £47,381.23 per annum with the potential to earn up to £56,981.23 with bonuses

We are seeking a Children's Home Dual Registered Manager to oversee two homes in Barnsley. You will manage a one and a two-bedroom home with a dedicated team.
As a Dual Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of the homes, ensuring high-quality care and promoting the rights of young people, providing them with quality care in line with our policies and procedures.
You will lead a team of care workers, ensuring positive outcomes for young people's physical, psychological, emotional, and social development, in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance.

* Enthusiasm for providing high-quality care and education
* Experience managing a team
* Ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, young people, and external agencies
* A recognised social work qualification (e.g., QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management - Children and Young People, and QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent)
* At least 3 years' relevant experience within the last 5 years in residential care, including 1 year in staff supervision and management
* Valid driving license for manual cars, own vehicle, and ability to undertake on-call duties
* Thorough knowledge of Children's Home legislation, Ofsted inspection requirements, and safeguarding procedures
Role Responsibilities include:
* Developing and delivering high-quality care in compliance with legislation, regulations, and organizational policies, including safeguarding and anti-discrimination practices
* Ensuring health and safety compliance and staff training
* Maintaining accurate records for young people and staff, and implementing monitoring systems
* Providing management reports and statistical data
* Innovating childcare approaches and representing the organization at meetings
* Participating in on-call duties, including sleep-in shifts if necessary
* Contributing to the organization's ethos, values, and aims
* Writing reports and overseeing communication standards
* Making appropriate decisions and overseeing admissions and discharges
* Leading change and aligning vision with organizational ethos

* Full occupancy bonus of £300/month
* On-call payments: £25 weekdays, £35 weekends
* Work schedule: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, with potential sleep-in duties
* Petrol allowance (proof of insurance required)
