We’re looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join a friendly one‑form entry primary school for children aged 4 to 11 years. Apprenticeship Overview
 * Salary: £7.55 an hour, Automatic pay increase after one year on programme for 19+ year olds
 * Working Week: Monday to Friday 7:30 am till 3:30 pm, with a 1 hour lunch break each day
 * Hours: 35 hours per week
 * Duration: 18 months
 * Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification
 * Online training supported by our dedicated tutor

Your Responsibilities Will Include
 * Supporting children with their learning activities, both in class and during small group sessions.
 * Assisting the teacher with the day‑to‑day running of the classroom and lesson preparation.
 * Supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
 * Building positive and nurturing relationships with pupils, promoting confidence and engagement.
 * Encouraging good behaviour and supporting the school's positive behaviour policy.
 * Assisting with personal care, including changing nappies when required.
 * Helping with the preparation of classroom displays and learning materials.
 * Monitoring and recording pupil progress, feeding back observations to the class teacher.
 * Supervising pupils before and after school, including supporting breakfast club each morning.
 * Accompanying staff and pupils on school trips, visits, and enrichment activities.
 * Promote inclusion and ensure all pupils feel valued and supported.
 * Help develop and implement individual education and behaviour plans.
 * Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
 * Provide regular feedback to teachers on pupil progress and wellbeing.
 * Carry out administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and preparing resources.
 * Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to meet childrens needs.
 * Uphold the school's safeguarding, equality, and health & safety policies at all times.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end? The successful candidate will obtain a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship standard qualification.
Each apprentice will have their own dedicated tutor who will conduct monthly remote tutorials and reviews, providing continuous support throughout the apprenticeship program. Depending on the apprentice's needs, the frequency of these sessions may vary.
