Are you an experienced RF Test Technician with hands-on knowledge of RF equipment and IP-based data networks? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where precision and problem-solving are key?
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading technology manufacturer based in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of RF and 5G technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analysers, network analysers, power meters).
* Interpret circuit diagrams and PCB schematics to test, fault-find and repair to component level.
* Test and configure systems to meet specific customer requirements.
* Carry out production testing, generate reports, and ensure results meet internal specifications.
* Diagnose and repair faulty finished goods.
* Support test development by building test fixtures and configuring ATS set-ups.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve quality and resolve issues.
* Maintain and calibrate test equipment as required.
Experience & Skills Required:
* 5+ years' experience in electronics manufacturing, ideally in RF infrastructure or wireless video equipment.
* Solid understanding of IP networks and digital/analogue electronics.
* Proficient in fault-finding to component level, with the ability to rework and replace components.
* Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC 610 desirable).
* Able to work collaboratively to tight deadlines, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or similar (preferred but not essential).
