We’re looking for a Bid Director to join our Major Project Construction team. Location: Regional offices – Split between Basingstoke and London. Hours: Full-time – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to drive work‑winning excellence across our Strategic Projects business, securing major projects and frameworks in key sectors including Education, Healthcare, Defence, and Custodial. The Bid Director will lead bidding strategy on key opportunities and work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to deliver compelling, industry‑leading submissions that showcase our value and expertise.
Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire multidisciplinary bid teams from inception through to contract award and mobilisation.
* Develop winning bid strategies aligned with our business priorities and client needs.
* Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and position our offer effectively.
* Oversee bid quality, ensuring compliance, innovation, and commercial strength in all submissions.
* Coach, mentor, and create opportunities for professional growth within your team.
Qualifications
* Proven pre‑construction leadership experience and the ability to build trusted, collaborative relationships across teams.
* Extensive pre‑construction and PCSA experience with a strong track record in crafting high‑quality, persuasive bid submissions.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Solid understanding of commercial strategy and ability to translate this into winning proposals.
* Passion for developing people and creating inclusive, supportive team environments.
* Desirable: Public sector project exposure, NEC Contract and Major Programme experience.
